He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Sparks (Blake) and Edward Sparks; his wife Deborah Todd Sparks; his son Jody Fichtinger; and his brother Stephen Sparks.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Fox (Suzie) of Ashville, OH, Dawn Bourquin (Keith) of Hanson, KY and Dana Black (Randy) of Marion, KY; his girlfriend Barb Scott; his grandchildren, Ian Fox, Nick Fox, Lauren Mantle, Evan Mantle, Hannah Black and Ethan Black; his brothers, Larry Sparks (Judy) of Evansville and Dale Sparks (Becky) of Evansville; and his sister-in-law Cindy Sparks of Winslow, IN..
