He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Elizabeth and Finis VanVactor; and his siblings, Mary Chappell, Edward VanVactor, Sarah Jackson and Lester VanVactor.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Logsdon VanVactor; his daughters, Stephanie Duncan (Billy) and Susan McHatton (Chris); his grandchildren, Briana Duncan, Taylor Duncan, Austin McHatton, Clayton McHatton and LeAnn McHatton; and his sister Bertha Mae Jewell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
