He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Thomas and Mary Magdalene Shears Garnett; and his wife Margaret Workman Garnett. He is survived by: his sons, Kerry Lane Garnett of Williamstown and Kevin Glenn Garnett of Florence; his stepchildren, Lonnie Cain of Mt Olivet, Roy Cain II of Cynthiana, Perry Cain of Corinth, Mary Caldwell of Butler and Sue Dillon of Statham, GA; and his siblings, Robert E. Garnett of Florence and Norma Lee McIntosh of Williamstown. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; and numerous step great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society.
