He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Wheatley and Flossie Mae Southward Mefford; his wife Mary Joan Adams; and his granddaughter Macie Tane Hensley. He is survived by: his children, Karen Hensley (Lee Stanton) of Waco, KY, Jeff Mefford (Lisa) of Lexington, KY and Greg Mefford of Corinth, KY; his sister Lois Evelyn Skirvin of Edgewood, KY.; his grandchildren, Morgan Taylor Conrad, Makala Tate Hensley, Madison Trae Hensley and Lyndsay Nicole Mefford; and his great grandchild Jace Allen Conrad.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gerald's memory toward the funeral expenses, in care of McDaniel or Stanley Funeral Homes.
