She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Gilbert; her parents, Elmer Hoover and Magline Hoover; her daughter Sandy Hoover; and her sister Shirley Butt.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Gilbert of Corbin, Debbie Cox of Corbin, Jimmy Gilbert Jr. of Corbin, Melissa Gilbert of Corbin and Bobby Gilbert of Corbin; her grandchildren, Brittany Cox, Brandon Cox, Derek Gilbert, Jessica Gilbert, Brooklyn McCloud and Jeffrey Baise III; and her great grandchildren, Rileigh Hart, Hudson Hinkle and Amira Cox.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home (607 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery Park.
