He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Mays and Creesa Mays; his wife Doris Mays; his children, Sandra Bilton and James Mays; and his grandchildren, Alia Sand, Mitra Gripshover, Shayda Moradian and Cody Mays. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
He was also an honored member of The Masons, a fraternal organization founded on the principles of brotherhood, charity, integrity, and the pursuit of moral and spiritual growth.
