He was predeceased by: his parents, Cooney Cress and Lucy Spurlock Cress; his wife Shirley Dean Cress; and his brothers, Jerry Cress, Ralph Cress and Monte Carlo Cress.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Cress, Jr. (Joyce), Kenneth Cress (Susie) and Cindy Nigro (Joe); his grandchildren, George Cress, Danielle Cress, Katelyn Nigro, Nicholas Nigro, Renee Helton, Dylan Cress, Emily Cress, Heather Bush and Jonathan Bush; and his great grandchildren, Levi Cress, Liam Cress and Ezra Helton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home (607 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
