He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rains and Azalea Casey Rains. He is survived by: his wife Eda Rains of Oak Harbor, Washington; his children, Michael D. Rains and Sheila Lynn Peterson (Mike) of Ferndale, Washington; his granddaughters, Hailey Azalea and Adaline Celine Peterson of Ferndale, Washington; his sister Sandra Dodson of Woodbine, Kentucky; and his nephew James Dodson of Goose Creek.
