He is survived by: his children, Sammie Smith (Christina), Beth Adkins (Joey), Jeana Hardesty and Chris Hardesty; and his sister Elizabeth Pietrowski. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and by many other family and friends.
