He is survived by: his son John Hughes Jr. of Busy, KY; his sisters, Diane Bowling (Sammy) of Bowling Green, KY, Zola Haynes of Combs, KY, Polly Haynes of Combs, KY and Penny Sizemore (William) of Avawam, KY; and his granddaughter Emma Laya Grace Hughes.
