He is survived by: his wife Mary Canfield Austin; his son Darren L. Austin of Columbus; his grandchildren, Natalie Canfield, Erica Canfield, Michael Canfield, Zach Nichols, Natalie Nichols and Britni Canfield; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Canfield and Lucas Canfield.
