With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vickie Gale Petty of Columbia, Kentucky, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Vickie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vickie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smith and Rachel Keith Smith; her husband Coy Dean Petty; her daughters, Deana Petty and Lisa Petty Cooper; and her grandson Derrick Pickett.
She is survived by: her children, Shelia Richard (William) of Burbank, Illinois., Wayne "Pokus" Smith of Columbia and Troy Petty (Amber) of Columbia.
