He was predeceased by: his parents, Frankie Burton and Sheila Ann Clements Burton; and his grandparents, Delmer Lee, Arleter Burton, William "Bob" and Audra Clements.

He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Murphy Burton of Columbia, KY; his children, Jessica Thompson (Brandon) of Hodgenville, KY and Michael Burton (Katie Dawn Morgan) of Hodgenville, KY; his grandchildren, NinaMae, Logan, Jed, Amelia, Eli, Oakley and Oliver; his siblings, Teresa Falucskai (Joe) of Campbellsville, KY, William Douglas Burton (Cate) of Lexington, KY and Kevin Burton (Heather) of Columbia, KY; and his aunts and uncles, Deborah Hensley of Columbia, KY, Sheila Burton of Columbia, KY, William Burton (Rose) of Columbia, KY and Danny Burton (Rita) of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
