He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Evert and Thomasine Heathcoat Evert; and his siblings, Joseph Evert, Carl Evert, Jr., Teresa Ramsburg and Nancy DiForte.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thomas Evert of Columbia; and his sister Mary Walkling (Bill) of Sykesville, MD. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
