She was predeceased by: her parents, Lindsey Holmes and Thelma Neat Holmes; her husband Joseph Odell Burton; her son Kevin Randall Burton; her grandchildren, Nathan and April Lynn Burton; and her siblings, Faye Bottoms, Ruby Rice, Ruth Wright and Herbert Ray Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Rich (David "Floyd") of Columbia, KY, Larry Burton of Columbia, KY and Phillip Burton of Columbia, KY; her grandchildren, Aaron Burton (Susie), Cody Burton, Penny Brown and Abby Burton; her great grandchildren, Phillip Burton, Wesley Burton, David Brown, Becca Staten (Parker), Natalie Burton, Jacob Burton, Joseph Burton and Seth Burton; her great great grandchildren, Will Staten, Duke Staten, Hadley Burton, Colter Burton and Avery Burton; her granddaughter-in-law Shawnda Burton of Columbia; her brothers, Junior Holmes (Ann) of Columbia, KY, Roger Holmes (Gail) of Columbia, KY and Rollin Holmes (Ruby) of Columbia, KY; and her brother-in-law Onda Wayne Burton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
