She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Holmes and Rena Burton Holmes; her son-in-law David Thompson; and her siblings, Ronald, Donald Holmes, Iola, Gwendola Holmes and Nola Vena Crawhorn.

She is survived by: her children, Vickie Withers Thompson of Columbia, Pam Spires (Jeralyn) of Columbia, Michael Withers of Columbia and Michelle Maldonado (Tony) of Russell Springs; her grandchildren, Richard Paul, Brandon Spires (Jaclyn), Blake Spires and Shelby Maldonado; her stepgrandson Anthony Maldonado; her great grandchildren, Brady, Jaidon and Kylie Spires; and her siblings, Naomi Burton (Leonard) of Elizabethtown, KY and Kenneth Holmes of Russell Springs, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
