She was predeceased by: her father Ricky James Howard; and her siblings, Ricky Howard and Ann Burton. She is survived by: her husband Darrel Burton of Portland; her mother Rebecca Lee Logsdon Harmon of Russell Springs; her children, Nathaniel Burton of Columbia One, Maze Burton of Columbia One, Jessica Burton of Columbia One, Latashia Burton of Columbia One and Kasandra Burton of Columbia One; her sister Rebecca Lynn Marie Howard of Columbia Three; and her grandchildren, Anatashia Burton, Daniel Popplewell and Alexander Kerns.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Green River Animal Shelter would be appreciated as Melissa "Loved her Cats.".
