She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Harmon and Gladys Corbin Harmon; her great grandchild Dalton McAllister; and her siblings, Gavin, Clarence, James Harmon, Mary Moss, Anna Lou Shirley, Marie Loy and Betty Shirley.

She is survived by: her husband Joe Veatch of Columbia Three; her children, Selby Shirley (Sandra) of Green County, Nathan Scruggs (Anita) of Columbia, Jeff Scruggs (Elizabeth) of Columbia, Brenda Ballenger (Gary) of Columbia and Lisa Hughes of Columbia; her stepchildren, Matthew Veatch and Debbie Bunch (David); and her sister Rosella Bennett of Russell County. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
