We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2022, at the age of 85, James Harvey Evans of Columbia, Kentucky, born in Glasgow, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Grover Evans; and his siblings, Caroline, Rosie Lee Thomas, Dr. Harold Evans and Rev. William Julius Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Scoggins Evans of Columbia, KY; his daughters, Jodie Janes (Anthony) of Columbia, KY and Jackie McCloud (Brent) of Dandridge, TN; his grandchildren, Brandon Coomer, Adam Coomer (Megan), Haley Tennant, Meagan Coomer and Shelby Tennant; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Bryant (Brady) and Alex Janes; his great grandchildren, Payton, Riley Jo and Boston Coomer; his stepgreat-grandchild Palmer Bryant; and his sister Becky Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Troopers Island.
