With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hollis Edward Kerns of Columbia, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Welby Ray and Mattie Lee Barrett Kerns; and his siblings, Wanda Kerns, Shirley Kerns Bailey and George Randall Kerns.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Kerns of Columbia, KY; his granddaughter Courtney Brooke Kerns Ford (Nate) of Greensburg, KY; his former wife Phyllis Shirley; and his brother Donald Kerns of Columbia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728).
