He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Burton and Belle Redmon Burton; his wife Sophia Burton; his daughter Dorothy Marie Gaskin; his sons-in-law, Dan Gaskin and Frank Goben; and his siblings, Leonard, Ernest, Kyle, Jake, Finis, Forrest Burton, Ruthie Knight and Alta Cook.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Grow of Florida, Charlotte Goben of Columbia, Billy Burton (Pam) of Columbia, Bobby Burton (Sharon) of Columbia, Johnny Burton (Patricia) of Columbia, Ronnie Burton of Columbia and Keith Burton (Tammy) of Columbia.
