George Caldwell Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Caldwell Sr. (Columbia, Kentucky), who passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 99. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Caldwell and Susie Kate Smith Caldwell; his wife Catherine Robinson Caldwell; his siblings, Tom Willie, Alfonso, Paul Allen, Ivan, James, Daniel, Alice, Mary Catherine and Capitola Caldwell Johnson; his son George Caldwell, Jr.; and his grandson Marcus Gregory Caldwell.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Donna) of Campbellsville, Gregory, Stephen of Columbia, Randall of Louisville, Rose Ella Jones of Campbellsville, Patricia of Columbia, Clara Etta McCarty of Indianapolis, Marilyn Taylor (Ronald) of Perrysburg, Carolyn, Teressa and Angela of Lexington. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (693 Haskinsville Rd, Greensburg, KY 42743).
