We bid farewell to Ethel Mae McClister-Gadberry Curry of Columbia, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Ethel Mae McClister-Gadberry touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McClister and Nona McClister of Fairplay, KY; her sisters, Citie Irene and Opal Amerine; her husband Orville "Dutch" Gadberry of Fairplay, KY.; her sons, Ricky Daryl Gadberry and Stephen Lynn Gadberry; and her son-in-law James Clinton Mings.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Mings of Brooks, KY, Donna Bailey (Danny) of Columbia, KY and Pamela Prewitt (Ricky) of Burkesville, KY; her daughters-in-law, Josephine Gadberry of Columbia, KY and Deborah Bryant of Milltown, KY; and her grandchildren, Jamie Elmore (Pat), Jason Gadberry (Melissa), Bryan Bailey (Katie), Samantha Bryant (Chris), Amanda Prewitt and David Prewitt (Madison).
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers as expressions of sympathy, the family requests memory donations to the McClister Cemetery.
