With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elma D. Smith of Columbia, Kentucky, born in Russell, Kentucky, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie D. Antle and Elva Warner Antle; her husband Woodrow Smith; her son-in-law Joe Vallelonga; and her grandson Eli Shader.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Smith Vallelonga, Dale Smith (Nancy) and Brenda Smith Nissley (Vern); her grandchildren, Michael Dale Smith (Michelle), Angela Vallelonga Miller (Billy), Joseph Mark Vallelonga, Latisha Lynn Reliford Alanis, Adam Shader (Heather), Joshua Ray Smith (Trish) and Dustin Jay Nissley (Emily); her sister Evelyn Grider of Russell Springs, KY; and her granddaughter-in-law Sara Shader. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
