He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Wilson; his siblings, Matra Wissing, Forbes and Leon Coomer; and his grandson Brandon Coomer.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Stone Coomer; his children, Delmas Coomer (Gail) and Rhonda Knight (Robert) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Shae Murrell (Jason), Sierra Durbin (Josh), Devin Akin (Whittney) and Skylar Coomer; his stepgrandsons, Josh Knight (Alicia) and Dustin Knight (Megan); and his sisters, Rena Kerns of Lebanon Junction and Estelene Hayes of Columbia. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
