He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Hammond. He is survived by: his mother Nora Coffey Hammond of Jamestown, KY; his wife Sarah Kathryn Garmon Hammond of Columbia; his son Daniel Hammond (Tasha) of Lawrenceburg, KY; and his grandchildren, Anabel of Lawrenceburg, KY, Henry of Lawrenceburg, KY and Roselyn Hammond of Lawrenceburg, KY.

Due to the Covid-19 virus and in accordance with Governor Beshear's orders and the CDC, there will be a private service on Monday at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Dixon Cemetery in Russell County.
