He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Cox Beard; his parents, Samuel Edward and Mary J. Simpson Beard; and his sister Linda Faye Beard. He is survived by: his sons, Troy Beard (Myra) of Shepherdsville, KY and Chris Beard (April) of Pellyton; his sister Peggy Rich (Malcolm) of Barnett's Creek; his grandchildren, Lance Beard (Lindsay) of Floyds Knobs, IN, Caylee Riley (Josh) of Jacksonville, FL, Wade Beard (Anna) of Pellyton, Alec Beard of Pellyton, Cole Beard of Bowling Green, KY, Noah Beard (Sarah Kate) of Fort Riley, KS and David Adams of Pellyton; and his great grandchildren, Hudson, Hannah, Ransom and Lauren Beard. He is also survived by one aunt and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and many old friends.
