He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Bruce and Alice Phillips Bruce; the mother of his children Marian Johnson Bruce; his wife Dorothy White Bruce; and his sister Loretta Bruce.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Bruce (Julia Dennison) of Hawesville, Steve Bruce (Kelly Ambrose), Shirley Bruce of Hawesville and Jullian Marie Bruce (Christiana) of Vincennes, IN; and his siblings, Maretha Kruse, Iva Carson and Johnny Eugene Bruce. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
