He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Mae Bratcher; his parents, Walter Newby and Mary Newby; and his siblings, Forrest Vernon, Walter Earl and Betty Jean.
He is survived by: his daughters, Suzanne Harris (Mike) and Cathy Newby; his friend Eric Fallen; and his grandchildren, David Harris, Ashley Burrell, Jeffrey Brown and Jessica Brown. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
