It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Wayne Owens of Closplint, Kentucky, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Frances Kelly Owens; and his father George Clint Owens. He is survived by: his children, Solomon David Owens (Diane), Jerry Lee Owens (Dartmont) and Ritchie Craig Owens (Ann); his mother Martha Lee Owens; his siblings, Solomon Jesse Owens, Barbara and Bertha Colvin; his grandchildren, David Owens, Derrick Wayne Owens and Rhianna Owens; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Owens and Natalie Lisa Owens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

All guests in attendance are required to wear some type of facial covering while practicing social distancing as prescribed in the mandates issued by the Governor of Kentucky.
