He was predeceased by: his father Gene Otis Burgess; and his brother Michael Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia of Clinton; his brother Scotty Burgess of West Paducah; and his mother Nancy Mills Burgess of Paducah. He is also survived by one niece; two nephews.
