She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Clarence Jerome Mills (CJ); her grandson Dane Bizzle; her parents, Halford Wheeler and Ruby Marie Pittman Wheeler; and her brother Larry Wheeler.

She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Harrington (Dan) of Lexington and Leslie Bizzle (Shane) of Clinton; her granddaughters, Liz Pendleton (Britt) of Lexington, KY, Natalie Tsang (Jon) of Atlanta, GA, Hannah Harrington of Jeffersonville, IN, Meredith Rodgers (Rodney) of Bremerton, WA and Haley Carr (Colton) of Union City, TN; and her great grandchild Brennon Pendleton of Lexington, KY..
