He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon E. Peery and Ruth Ward Peery; his daughter Kelly Jean Peery; and his sisters, Patsy Rizzo and Ann Sarten.

He is survived by: his wife Valarie Blumenberg Peery of Clinton; his daughters, Kimberly Sherman Boulifard (Paul) of Nashville, TN, Shannan Inman (Kevin) of Ruston, LA and Kristia Reynolds (Gaylon) of Clinton; his foster daughter Taresa Quillen Ezell (Brent) of Cadiz, KY; his brother-in-law Monte Blumenberg of Clinton; and his grandchildren, Jack Inman, Anna Kate Inman, Ellie Inman, Jonathan Reynolds (Gracie), Madelyne Reynolds, Noah Sibcy and Luke Sibcy.
