He was predeceased by: his father Thurman Pharis; and his sister Judy Pharis Jones. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Pharis; his sons, Michael Hinkle (Tracie) of Chesapeake, VA. and Scott Pharis (Lana) of Nashville, TN.; his grandsons, Peyton Hinkle of Chesapeake, VA., Preston Hinkle of Chesapeake, VA. and Thatcher Pharis of Bardwell, KY.; and his sister Phyllis Pharis Beate of Rock Hill, S. C.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
