He was predeceased by: his wife Donie Nicholas Malugin Byassee; his parents, Mitchell Byassee and Delcie Cagle Byassee; his sons, Salvador Byassee and Richard Malugin, Jr.; and his brothers, Maurice, Harold, Thomas and Russell.
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Byassee (Brittany) of Clinton, Eric Byassee (Amanda) of Clinton and David "Butch" Malugin (Vickye) of Clinton. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren.
