Gene Wooten Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2021, at the age of 86, Gene Wooten of Clinton, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Wooten and Annie Lee Ward Wooten; his wife Ernestine Craig Wooten; and his siblings, Madeline Barnelle Edwards, James Ward Wooten, Billy Wooten and Joe Wooten.

He is survived by: his children, Janet Wooten Horton (Brad) of Clinton, Craig Wooten (Belinda) of Paducah and Dale Wooten (Charlene) of Estill Springs, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Rachel Eichberger (Cameron) of Louisville, Ruth Wooten of Cincinnati, Ohio, Steven Wooten of Louisville, Shannon M. Wooten of Clarksville, Tenn. and Nicholas Wooten (Sierra) of Norfolk; and his great grandchildren, Meadow and River Wooten.

At Gene's request, his body was donated to Genesis Legacy Foundation for the advancement of research.
