He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Sr. Barnt and Louise Barnt; his wife Connie Holloman; his children, Tina Barnt of Bowling Green, KY and Doug Barnt, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Adrienne Barnt; his grandsons, Zane Anthony, Vance Phillip and Reed Douglas; his siblings, Mary Lou Rahrig (Roger) of Spencerville, OH, Anna Linville (Mark) of Roseville, MI, Billie Jo Voress (Tim) of Lima, OH, Donald Barnt of Delphos, OH, David Barnt of Metropolis, IL., Denny Barnt and Dick Barnt, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Martha Jeanne Barnt.
