She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Hicks and Thelma Hicks; her sisters, Grace Stuart and Carol Ashbrook; and her son David Rushing.

She is survived by: her daughter Donna Bugg of Paducah. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
