She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl "Curly" McCollum and Edna McCollum; her husband Carvis Black; her daughter Lorenda Marie Black (Cheryl Black Morgan); her grandson Hunter King; her sister-in-law Dorothy McCollum; and her siblings, Cecil McCollum (Lois), Rudolph McCollum, James McCollum, Clarence McCollum, Leroy McCollum (Dorothy), Jereline McCollum, Bertha Mae Pinion (Bill) and Beatrice Byassee (George).
She is survived by: her children, James Black (Cheryl) and Ginger Bailey; her son-in-law Jerry Bailey; her grandchildren, Courtney Bailey Taylor (Bryan), Jerrod Bailey (Rachael), Erica Groves (Davie), Derrick Lambert (Natalie), C. J. Black, Candace Black and Cheyenne Stewart (Landon); her great grandchildren, Kabrina Draffen, Isabella Bailey-Sims, Kale Newton, Dylan, Lily Bailey, Jesse, Elijah McGary, Ellie Rae, Derrick Russell Jr., Michael Lambert, Hattie Jean Stewart and Lincoln Taylor; her great great grandchildren, Drayden, Karter and Ezekiel McIntyre; and her nephew Gerald Wayne Byassee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home - Clinton (420 Mayfield Rd, Clinton, KY 42031). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
