He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Guy and Gola Missy Settle Sears; his wife Melvia Dean Hightower Sears; his siblings, Shelby Sears, James Sears, Clayton Sears, Sylvia Latham, Malta Moore and Ermie Sears; and his grandson Matthew Stanley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Ingram of Clifty and Danita Hilburn (Troy) of Clifty; his siblings, Edward Sears of Shepherdsville, KY and Patie Edwards of Clifty; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Farber, Jessica Williams, Tori Hilburn and Megan Harbold. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
