He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Trent and Edith Edna Dillon Trent; his sister Carol Bernice Trent; his close friend Donna Basford; and his stepdaughter Donita Kay Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Trent Beamon (Bernie) of Morehead, Tonya Trent Potter (Mike) of Salt Lick and Lynn Trent Barnett of Mt. Sterling; his stepchildren, Andrea Stegall of Huntington, Paul Basford (Sandra) of Morehead and Gary Basford of Morehead; his grandchildren, Derrick Courtney, Ashton Beamon, Spencer Potter, Luke Potter, Rionne Barnett and Zachary Barnett; his stepgrandchildren, Dustin Stegall, Jarrod Stegall, Kane Basford, Tylor Emmons, Tyler Emmons, Matt Jones, Morgan Foster and Charlie Foster; and his siblings, Lee Roy Trent (Lucille) of Morehead and Lousie Mynhier Richmond of South Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
