He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Skeens and Lula Akers Skeens; and his siblings, Robert Virgil Skeens, Elmer Lee Skeens, Billy Junior Skeens, Carol June Skeens and Norma Jean Skeens Lambert.
He is survived by: his nephew Mike Skeens (Debbie) of Beckley; his great-nephews, Chris Skeens (Angie) of Basin and Chad Skeens (Amy) of Pax; his brother-in-law J. M. Lambert of Clearfield; and his nephew James A. Horton of Hillsboro. He is also survived by three great-great nephews; two great-great nieces; one great-great-great niece; one great-great-great nephew.
