He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin James Brewer and Isabell Evans Newsome Brewer; his wife Mary Francis Brewer; his stepson Kenneth Anthony King; and his siblings, Grover Brewer, Gladys Cline and Reva Workman.
He is survived by: his son Donald Joseph Brewer of Morehead, KY; and his stepson Shawn Neil King of Morehead, KY.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as one great grandchild.
