He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Legate and Medrith Legate; and his daughter Greta Legate. He is survived by: his children, Mindy Thomas (Brian) and Greg Legate (Melaine) of Clay; his brother Davis Legate (Linda) of Madisonville; his grandchildren, Adam Legate (Jamie), Tyler Noffsinger, Cassidy Brumfiel (Ben) and Paige Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Griffin Legate, Greer Legate and Evyn Grace Brumfiel.
