He was predeceased by: his father Bert Fugate; and his friend J. D. McClure. He is survived by: his mother Fannie Combs Ritchie; his wife Teresa Spencer Fugate of Clay City; his children, Crystal Roberson (Daniel) of Owingsville, Johnny Cook of Stanton and Misty Rose of Alabama; his siblings, Florence King (Melvin) of Clay City, Charlene Spencer (Linville) of Breathitt County, Shirley Miller (T. K.) of Breathitt County and Gary Smith of Breathitt County; his grandchildren, Gabe Crabtree (Paley), Madison Crabtree, Jacob Roberson, Colby Cook (Ashton), Colton Cook, Kaylee Rose, Gavin Rose and Tate Rose; and his great grandchild Esmerae Rose. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hearne Funeral Home (125 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. (125 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380).
