It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Lavern Meadows of Clay City, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Sharita L. Meadows (Mike Bowen) of Clay City, Lavonna L. Meadows of Stanton, Levodis A. Meadows of Clay City, Roger N. Meadows of Georgetown, James K. Meadows (Melissa) of Nicholasville and Mark A. Meadows (Lizette) of Clay City; her grandchildren, Ashlee Rae Chilton, Andrew Sears (Kristina), Rachel Esteppe, Letisha Faulkner (Aaron), Kristina Esteppe (Jordan Benningfield), Eleanor Humphries (Randall), Stephanie Johnson, Anthony Meadows (Brittany), CJ Meadows, Haley Bremer (Wyatt), Jonah Meadows (Leslie), James Micah Meadows, Jaythus Nolan, Kirstin Meadows, Weston English Meadows, Cheyanne Covelli and Riley Meadows; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Chilton, Khloe Benningfield, Reighlen Noe, Hazelee Johnson, Asher Halsey, Mini Meadows and Avery Faulkner; her siblings, Vina Morton, Alta Roach (Arnold), Olga Sullivan (Roger), Margaret Collett (Eugene), Marsha McCoy (Eddie), Mable McIntosh, Bedford King, John King and Chester King (Janet); and her sisters-in-law, Jeannie King and Sue King. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hearne Funeral Home (125 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
