He was predeceased by: his parents, Tyntz Knowles and Jessie Knowles; his wife Marcella Martin; his sons, Claxton S. Knowles, Jr. (Brenda) and Reginald L. Knowles; and his granddaughter Natasha Knowles.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Willoughby (William) of Saginaw, Mi and Lisa Knowles; his sisters, Adaline Anderson (Jim), Golden Pollard (Mike), Seldon Sullivan (Don) and Jewell; his grandchildren, Shannon Knowles, Reginald Knowles, Jr. and Nathan Knowles; and his niece Tina Boxx (James). He is also survived by several great-grand-children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
