It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Joyce Haycraft of Clarkson, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wesley "Charlie" and Ada Mae Hayes Williams; her husband Vanley Haycraft; her daughter Jeania Faye Haycraft; and her siblings, Johnny Williams, Margaret Littie Ann Evans and Eva Higdon.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Haycraft (Gail), Jessica B. "Bonnie" Hunter and Lisa Thomas (Phillip); her grandchildren, Jeffery Allen Haycraft, Jr. (Bridgett), Jason Daniel Haycraft (Autumn), Holly Nichole Hartlage (Daniel), Haley Jocelynn Hunter, Travis Vanley Haycraft (Leah) and Trevor O'Neil Newton (Amber); and her sisters, Virginia Ree Armes, Carrie Wolard, Betty Jean Cain, Lizzie Faye Colmore and Mary Mae Alvey. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church (9380 Grayson Springs Rd, Clarkson, KY 42726).
