He was predeceased by: his brother Phillip Carnes. He is survived by: his mother Sue Decker Higdon; his son Cody Carnes; his father Roger Carnes; his grandchildren, Hunter Carnes and Allison Carnes; his brothers, Barry Higdon (Mandy) and Ashley Higdon (Brandi); and his sister-in-law Kathy Carnes. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and several other relatives and friends.
