He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Beryl Kelly Franklin and Katherine Fulkerson Franklin; his wife Mary Kirk Franklin (Meyers); his children, Amy Allen (Michael) and Kelly Franklin; his grandchildren, Ashley and Alexander Allen; and his siblings, Rowan "Buck" Franklin (Dixie), Marcus Franklin (Kay) and Lillian Bratcher (Clyde).
